A COUNTRY OF PARADOX

El Salvador is tropical and beautiful with welcoming, caring people. Conversely, it is a country with severe poverty, a high level of natural disasters and one of the world’s most violent gang problems. I set forth to build a body of portrait work revealing the humanity in the midst of the struggle and beauty – the paradox
